Odds

There is something unnatural about these striped roses. For some reason I get a lot of them from friends. They prolly think I like them or something... Posted by Picasa

Interesting picture this is...the historic steam clock blending into the building, the steam mingling with the clouds...the colours of the building picked up in the leaves....I did not see all the elements when I shot it....only later!! Posted by Picasa

Red Railway Station...

Just about every pretty piece of sky within a city is strewn with these electic cables and lines. It makes the sky look ugly....But building itself...classic old world British style....so familiar in colour and architecture....almost made me forget that I was in Canada and not in Chennai.

Steely pillars

This imposing building with beautiful shiny steel pillars stands right opposite the old railway station. They were succintly juxtaposed and spoke volumes about the old and new living side by side.

Jungles in the city....

Posted by Picasa Sometimes the phrase ‘concrete jungle’ makes no sense, especially in beautiful cities like Vancouver, BC. This was a hidden corner at a place where no one could ever notice the greenery. Beauty where we don’t expect to find it…where we don’t bother to see it.

Empty temples.....

I walked for hours, trying to find something that made sense….and I saw a Church at a busy intersection. It was quiet and peaceful….but His presence was missing. Inspite of its holy appearance, it was just another beautiful building. My breathing echoed...it was empty inside.

Gossip around the Pond....just catching up!!

Posted by Picasa

These two turtles were on the other side of the rock, basking in the sun and in complete bliss. And when this koi swam over, they scuttered over to where it was. It really looked like they were gossiping. Mr & Mrs Turtle cathing up with old Mrs Koi....what a sight!!

A goldfish Gone Ostrich

Posted by Picasa

This guy was very restless. He found one spot and then left it in a huff and found another and so on and so forth....finally he went ostrich. Maybe he was in denial...maybe he was hearing voices in his head....oh yeah, I am certain it was a he!! :-)

A Reflective Koi

Posted by Picasa

A Reflective Koi....that's the first thing that came to my mind when I took this picture. After wandering aimlessly for hours together I was enjoying some much needed shade. I sat by the pond in Sun Yat Sen Gardens reflecting on events and life, when I spotted this koi enjoying the shade as well.
